Capacity Engineer

What you'll do

• Own one or more edge planning regions end-to-end and produce deployment recommendations.
• Maintain and improve regional planning models by incorporating new traffic patterns and hardware generations.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using BigQuery, Python, and Jupyter notebooks to validate planning data.
• Translate forecasts into actionable deployment plans by working directly with hardware sourcing and infrastructure teams.
• Proactively identify and surface capacity risks in assigned regions before they require escalation.
• Use OpenCode AI and MAS agent tooling as a standard part of the daily planning workflow.
• Contribute to cross-regional consistency by developing shared methodologies and standards with peers.
• Communicate forecast outputs and capacity recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years of experience in an analytical, planning, or technical infrastructure role.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and joining datasets in BigQuery.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis, scripting, and automation using Jupyter notebooks.
• Experience building and maintaining data pipelines to feed regional planning.
• Ability to own a workstream end-to-end with light supervision.
• Ability to translate large infrastructure datasets into actionable deployment decisions.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills to explain technical recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
