As a CAD Engineer - Custom EMIR Methodology, you will join the CAD Group to develop and refine state of the art designs. You will be responsible for supporting transistor level power/signal EM and IR solutions that scale with accuracy and capacity challenges while enhancing custom transistor level EM/IR methodologies. The role involves collaborating with physical-design, integration, circuit-design, power, and technology groups to address circuit verification requirements across various processes. You will partner with design, CAD, and EDA teams to identify flow deficiencies and deliver advanced solutions. Required skills include proficiency in Python, Perl, or C/C++, along with experience in custom design environments involving schematic/layout design, simulation, extraction, and physical verification. You will use your expertise in EM/IR analysis tools and automation to solve technical challenges and advance methodology for transistor level power and signal integrity.
Support transistor level power/signal EM and IR solutions that scale with accuracy and capacity challenges.
Develop, refine, and enhance custom transistor level EM/IR methodologies and flows.
Address circuit verification requirements for various design groups across different processes.
Identify flow deficiencies and deliver state-of-the-art solutions in partnership with CAD and EDA teams.
Develop automations to improve accuracy and performance for transistor level EM/IR analysis.
Root-cause technical challenges and communicate solutions for methodology advancement.
Coordinate and drive initiatives alongside senior team members to advance design capabilities.
What we're looking for
Bachelor of Science degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
Experience with custom design environments and transistor level EM/IR analysis (preferred).
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Perl, or C/C++ (preferred).
Hands-on experience developing transistor level EM/IR analysis and automations for improved accuracy and performance (preferred).
Knowledge of EM/IR analysis tools, including their working principles and methods (preferred).
Familiarity with custom design environments and flows, including schematic/layout design, simulation, extraction, and physical verification (preferred).
Strong analytical skills to root-cause technical challenges and communicate solutions for methodology advancement (preferred).
Ability to coordinate and drive initiatives together with senior team members (preferred).
