JOB TITLE: C, C++ Software Engineer II
The C, C++ Software Engineer II joins the Common Systems Software Department to develop software for product control systems. This role involves designing, prototyping, and debugging software for semiconductor equipment components and devices. Key responsibilities include creating software specifications, test plans, and documentation, as well as troubleshooting complex problems and interfacing with customers for requirement analysis. The engineer will work on real-time control of robots, motors, generators, pumps, flow controllers, and sensors, while also developing algorithms for atomic-scale material deposition and removal. Required technical skills include proficiency in C and C++. Desired experience includes real-time control, motion control, embedded programming, multi-threading, CAN Bus, C#, .NET, Visual Studio, and Matlab. The work addresses the technical challenge of optimizing material modification at the atomic level.
Design and develop code for complex software projects involving semiconductor equipment components.
Troubleshoot difficult software problems and design and implement effective bug fixes.
Design and prototype user interfaces for product control systems.
Create software specifications, test plans for simulators, and comprehensive software documentation.
Interface with internal and external customers to perform requirement analysis and project scheduling.
Develop algorithms to optimize material deposition and removal on an atomic scale.

What we're looking for
Master’s Degree with 1 or more years of professional experience.
Bachelor’s degree with 3 or more years of professional experience.
Proficiency and professional experience in C and C++.
Experience in programming in Real-time Control, Motion Control, Embedded Programming, Multi-threading, CAN Bus, C#, .NET, Visual Studio, or Matlab (preferred).
Ability to design, prototype, develop, and debug software solutions for semiconductor equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot complex software problems and implement bug fixes.
