Business Systems Architect, Tax

What you'll do

• Design and implement features for financial systems including Oracle Cloud Applications and homegrown Tax Solutions.
• Lead end-to-end projects for Tax systems from requirements gathering and tool selection to go-live support.
• Identify and automate Tax processes while implementing SOX controls and maintaining financial applications.
• Serve as a technology liaison to create strategic roadmaps and provide solutions for Tax stakeholder pain points.
• Apply knowledge of sales tax, transfer pricing, and tax provisioning to develop and maintain data flows.
• Design scalable architecture solutions by benchmarking against industry best practices.
• Partner with Engineering teams to develop technical solutions for financial workflows and internal system integrations.
• Own the configuration, maintenance, and data integrity of Tax applications and compliance systems.

What we're looking for

• Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
• Must have 8 years of experience in building and maintaining tax systems, with at least 5 years of post-bachelors progressive experience.
• Must have 8 years of experience building and implementing finance and compliance products at global scale.
• Must have 8 years of experience with tax systems including Sabrix, Vertex, Oracle EBTax, and Fusion Cloud Tax.
• Must have 8 years of experience in program or project management.
• Must have 8 years of experience designing internal financial systems for Indirect or Direct Tax needs.
• Must have 8 years of experience in reporting development using SQL, PL/SQL, or BI Publisher.
• Must have 8 years of experience with taxation methods including VAT, Sales Tax, or GST, and related global compliance and reporting needs.
