Battery Management Systems Electrical Engineer

What you'll do

• Design Battery Management Units (BMU) from initial concept through to mass production.
• Develop detailed electronic schematics, board-level designs, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Select electronic parts and integrated circuits to meet specific performance and volume targets.
• Create layout guidelines for PCBs to satisfy physical and electrical requirements.
• Perform design analysis using simulation tools and calculations to verify requirement conformance.
• Develop and execute test methodologies to validate BMU designs on prototypes.
• Specify custom parts and production test plans in coordination with manufacturing partners.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or a relevant field of study.
• Experience in analog and/or power electronics design.
• Experience in electronic circuit design and development with mixed signal systems or relevant systems.
• Master's in Electrical Engineering or relevant field of study and 3+ years of relevant industry experience (preferred).
• Background in Power Electronics, Battery Management, Portable Consumer Electronics, Medical Electronics, or Automotive Electronics (preferred).
• Experience with high volume manufacturing (preferred).
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, Shell, Unix, or MATLAB for test automation and data analysis (preferred).
• Understanding of the silicon manufacturing process and semiconductor device creation (preferred).
