JOB TITLE: Back End Engineer (All Levels) As a Back End Engineer, you will join a team focused on transforming the future of renting by designing, implementing, and documenting back-end services for the Bilt mobile app and website. Your daily responsibilities include writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code while coaching junior resources and collaborating with stakeholders. You will contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, ensuring technical feasibility for integrations and optimizing the application for speed, scalability, and reliability. You will utilize Google Cloud Platform services to improve architecture and implement microservices using Java and Go. Additionally, you will propose and enhance automation initiatives related to infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting to solve complex technical problems within the rental industry.

What you'll do

Design, implement, and document back-end services for the Bilt mobile app and website.
Implement microservices using Java and Go.
Investigate and utilize Google Cloud Platform services to improve application architecture.
Propose and enhance automation for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting.
Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code.
Optimize the application for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
Coach and mentor junior resources.
Ensure the technical feasibility of integrations.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience.
Proven hands-on Software Development experience.
Demonstrable experience in Java or Go development.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS or Azure.
Great interpersonal skills and a team player.
Knowledge of the start-up world (preferred).
