As a Back End Engineer (All Levels), you will join the engineering team to design, implement, and document back-end services for the Bilt mobile app and website. You will work alongside the Head of Engineering and Head of Product to ensure technical feasibility of integrations while optimizing the application for speed, scalability, and reliability. Your daily responsibilities include writing testable code, mentoring junior resources, and driving best practices in infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring, and alerting. The role requires proficiency in Java and the Quarkus framework, along with experience utilizing Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure services to improve architecture. You will contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle to solve technical challenges within the rental industry, ensuring high-quality software delivery through robust microservices and automated infrastructure solutions.

What we're looking for

5+ years of experience.
Proven hands-on software development experience.
Demonstrable experience in Java development.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
Great interpersonal skills and a team player.
Knowledge of the start-up world (preferred).
