The AWS Edge Engineer, Senior joins a team to design and deliver secure, portable, and high-performance compute solutions for tactical edge environments. You will build systems that operate autonomously in disconnected scenarios, integrating AI models at the edge while ensuring rugged reliability and zero-trust security. Your daily work involves deploying and managing workloads using AWS IoT Greengrass, Snowball Edge, and SageMaker Edge Manager. You will utilize containerization, micro-service network architecture, and CI/CD tools like GitLab to create packaged solutions that sync with the AWS Cloud. Key technical tasks include model quantization, pruning, and implementing secure boot and encryption. You must apply software engineering principles and Agile methodology to solve complex problems within a cross-functional team, specifically addressing the technical challenges of mission-critical operations in remote locations.
