The Automation Data Analytics Engineer joins the Cell Therapy team to support the design, delivery, and lifecycle management of site Automation Systems and Data Analytics solutions. You will act as a subject matter expert, collaborating with Manufacturing and Technical Operations to define business needs and develop data science solutions. Daily responsibilities include creating dashboards, conducting ad-hoc data analysis, and providing technical direction to improve capacity, quality, and cost. You will utilize SQL, Python, Azure AI, Domino, Jupyter Notebook, Tableau, and Power BI to manage Process Automation Systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, and Data Historians. This role solves critical production and monitoring problems for Biologics products for commercial supply, ensuring compliance with cGMP requirements while translating complex business requirements into functional specifications for digital solutions like electronic batch records.
Define and document business needs and solution requirements for data analytics and manufacturing systems.
Develop data science solutions and dashboards using SQL, Azure AI, Python, Tableau, and Power BI.
Provide technical expertise to manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to improve capacity and cost.
Translate business requirements into functional design specifications for electronic batch records and process automation.
Support lifecycle management, project implementation, and technical project execution for site-level digital solutions.
Lead the creation and revision of QMS deliverables, including SOPs, training materials, and Change Controls.
Support manufacturing systems incidents, quality event investigations, and end-to-end process analysis.
Ensure compliance with global regulatory and cGMP requirements during health authority and internal inspections.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biological/Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum of two years of manufacturing support, manufacturing engineering, or related experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
Knowledge of cGMPs and multi-national biopharmaceutical regulations.
Experience in Cell Therapy or Biologics.
Hands-on experience with SQL, Python (or R), and associated data science packages.
Experience with HP ALM, Electronic Document Management Systems, and Change Management Systems.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office Applications and proficiency with reporting/visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
Knowledge of the relationship between manufacturing processes, ERP, PCS, and MES (preferred); working knowledge of EBR, RBE, and MES Recipe object lifecycle management (preferred); understanding of cell culture, cryopreservation, purification, and aseptic processing (preferred).
