Audio Instrumentation & Calibration Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Specify, develop, and deploy acoustic instrumentation systems for manufacturing lines.
• Perform acoustic and vibro-acoustic simulations using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Specify and acquire equipment, components, and tools for New Product Introduction environments.
• Deploy and qualify measurement systems in-situ.
• Analyze large datasets of calibration and performance data using Excel, Matlab, or JMP.
• Design automated mass-production measurement tools while balancing accuracy, cost, and throughput.
• Architect optimal instrumentation solutions based on core technology fundamentals.

What we're looking for

• MS in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, or a similar field.
• 1+ years of professional experience.
• Deep familiarity with room acoustics and/or transducer design.
• Experience with acoustic and multi-physics simulation using Comsol or Ansys.
• Experience with CAD tools, preferably NX/UG (preferred).
• Experience programming in C, C++, Python, or Matlab.
• PhD or 3+ years of professional experience (preferred).
• Experience in high volume consumer electronics manufacturing, scalable instrumentation, HW/SW automation, contract manufacturers, or acoustic materials (preferred).
