Associate Business Transformation Consultant – Data Services 2027 is a role within IBM Consulting where you will operate at the intersection of technology, people, and process. You will collaborate with global clients to solve complex challenges involving digital transformation, cloud strategy, AI adoption, and process redesign. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing data analysis to identify trends, creating visual dashboards for stakeholders, ensuring data quality through rigorous cleaning, and translating business requirements into technical solutions. To succeed, you must utilize a suite of tools including SQL, Python, dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Airflow while applying knowledge of data modeling, CI/CD basics, and GenAI literacy such as prompt engineering and RAG. You will also manage analytics pipelines and infrastructure to help clients optimize business processes through automation and agile methodologies in an environment focused on data-driven decision-making.
Analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for client marketing and operations.
Create visually compelling dashboards and reports to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Perform rigorous data cleaning, validation, and preprocessing to ensure information integrity and accuracy.
Translate complex client requirements into technical solutions and defined operational scenarios.
Identify process optimization and automation opportunities using Agile methodologies and project management skills.
Present analytical findings and recommendations clearly to demonstrate the value of data-driven decision-making.
Manage multiple tasks concurrently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
What we're looking for
High School Diploma or GED required.
Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred).
Experience with ETL/ELT projects, data warehouse design, analytics pipelines, and capstone data engineering.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Airflow, data modeling, and CI/CD basics.
Data Engineer skills including pipeline design, infrastructure, vector databases, deployment, and scalability.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex situations clearly.
Willingness to travel 100% based on project requirements.
Preferred certifications include SnowProCore, Databricks Associate, Google Associate Cloud Engineer, or Data Engineer coursework (preferred); GenAI literacy (preferred).
