Assessments & Exercises Vice President, Cloud Resiliency Testing

What you'll do

• Design and execute enterprise-wide cloud resiliency exercises using repeatable scenarios and standardized metrics.
• Develop scenario-based testing aligned to Plausible Disruptive Events and convert findings into prioritized remediation plans.
• Map critical user journeys, service dependencies, and failure domains to validate behavior under disruption.
• Lead the adoption of modern resiliency testing standards, tooling, and operating rhythms across technology teams.
• Use enterprise-authorized AI to synthesize test evidence and draft executive-ready assessment reports.
• Provide subject matter leadership to shape resiliency standards that balance firmwide consistency with business constraints.
• Deliver decision-ready updates to senior stakeholders regarding risk framing, business impact, and remediation progress.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on security and cloud concepts and 5+ years of applied experience in cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, platform reliability, or cybersecurity engineering.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience designing, building, and operating solutions in public cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
• Experience designing and executing resiliency, disaster recovery, or failure-based testing exercises for applications and infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to support assessment workflows with strong validation habits and data sensitivity awareness.
• Strong understanding of cloud and network architecture, including fault domains, failure modes, dependency mapping, and recovery patterns.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, to implement resiliency controls through automated, repeatable patterns.
• Experience conducting architecture/design assessments to identify resiliency and security weaknesses and driving remediation to verified closure.
• Strong communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and translate technical findings into prioritized risk and remediation actions.
• Experience leading or supporting disaster recovery and cyber recovery planning, testing, and post-exercise remediation (preferred).
• Experience using AI-assisted tooling to generate runbooks, test plans, failure scenarios, scripts, and post-exercise summaries (preferred).
• Experience in security architecture or engineering with familiarity with frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS Controls, OWASP, or SANS (preferred).
• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or Bash (preferred).
• Experience implementing resiliency controls in containerized environments like Kubernetes and using observability and incident tooling (preferred).
• Experience working in regulated environments and engaging with audit, risk, compliance, and regulatory stakeholders (preferred).
• Relevant cloud or security certifications such as AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, CISSP, or CISM (preferred).
