As an Application Software Engineer - Memphis, you will join the application software team to develop mission-critical applications that accelerate launch vehicle production and flight while supporting the growth of a global satellite network. You will take full ownership of the software engineering lifecycle, building prototypes to prove design concepts, creating new applications to improve operations, and collaborating on architecture and code reviews. Technical skills include building single-page web applications using Angular or React, managing infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform, and processing in-stream data via Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ. You will solve complex problems involving manufacturing software for high-throughput factories and systems managing concurrent data streams from numerous always-on assets.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in full stack development.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented languages such as Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience with version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery concepts.
  • Expertise in designing software systems and improving application performance.
  • Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular or React and database technologies like PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to meet ITAR requirements.
