As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the GlobalLink Technical Operations Team, you will provide second/third level support for critical applications while building next-generation infrastructure to support new initiatives. Your daily tasks include diagnosing and resolving issues across various technical areas such as server, network, database, and storage, executing change management in production environments, and contributing to system migration efforts focusing on maintainability, performance, and high availability. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure a highly available and resilient system, participate in on-call rotations, and monitor system performance for continuous improvement. The role requires extensive experience with scripting languages like Python and BASH, Linux system administration (preferably RedHat), web servers such as Apache/NGINX, AWS cloud automation, middleware technologies including Kafka and RabbitMQ, and DevOps tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Provide second/third level support for GlobalLink Applications.
Build next generation infrastructure to support new initiatives.
Diagnose and resolve issues across server, network, database, storage areas.
Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
Execute Change Management tasks in various environments.
Contribute to migration tasks focusing on maintainability, performance, high availability.
Participate in on-call rotation for weekend maintenance tasks.
What we're looking for
18+ years of IT experience in software development and system administration.
Expertise in scripting languages (Python, BASH) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
Proficiency with web servers (Apache/NGINX) and Linux system administration (RedHat).
Deep understanding of network concepts including TCP/IP, load balancing, and firewalls.
Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple layers from kernel to application.
Extensive experience in AWS cloud automation and middleware technologies like Kafka, RabbitMQ.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins), DevOps practices, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
