The Analytics QA Manager joins the Media Services QA team to support the Music Analytics vertical. In this leadership role, you will manage a team of Automation engineers responsible for ensuring the end-to-end quality of analytics offerings. Your daily responsibilities include overseeing test planning, execution, and automation for data ingestion, processing, and aggregation pipelines. You will perform technical analysis on new analytics features, design internal testing frameworks, and validate client metrics instrumentation. The role requires proficiency in Python, SQL, Swift, XCTest/XCUI, and Java, with preferred knowledge of Spark, Hadoop, and Kafka. You will solve complex data integrity problems by coordinating cross-functionally with engineering and data science teams to deliver high-quality analytics data from client to server for Apple Music customers.

What you'll do

Manage a team of automation engineers to ensure high-quality releases of Apple Music analytics data.
Oversee all QA processes including test planning, estimation, execution, and automation for timely delivery.
Perform technical analysis and functional qualification of new analytics features on client platforms and backend pipelines.
Create and execute test plans and strategies for data validation, client instrumentation, and downstream reports.
Design and develop new internal tools and testing frameworks while maintaining existing automation coverage.
Provide accurate QA status and progress updates during all phases of the testing lifecycle.

What we're looking for

Computer Science degree or equivalent relevant experience.
In-depth knowledge and experience in Python, SQL, Swift, XCTest/XCUI, or Java.
Experience leading or demonstrated readiness to lead a QA team.
Experience managing or coordinating projects and processes cross-functionally.
Knowledge and experience with Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or other distributed systems (preferred).
Expertise in test automation architecture, test planning, execution, and triage across multiple platforms (preferred).
Strong leadership capabilities and experience in mentoring and developing team members (preferred).
Strong presentation skills capable of distilling complex analyses into concise, business-focused insights (preferred).
