Senior Applied ML Research Scientist, Accessibility

What you'll do

• Develop new machine learning modeling approaches with potential for both research and product impact.
• Advance the state of the art on accessibility-related problems like speech access and visual understanding.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate various machine learning modeling approaches.
• Evaluate ML-powered applications using human-centered methods and user study protocols.
• Partner with product teams to integrate research findings into features for end users.
• Publish research contributions in top machine learning and human-computer interaction venues.
• Develop data collection, curation, and annotation protocols for accessibility technologies.

What we're looking for

• PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
• Research depth in multimodal modeling, agentic systems and tool use, computer vision, speech, or foundation model post-training and evaluation.
• A publication and research record commensurate with seniority.
• Proven history of turning research contributions into tools, datasets, or products.
• Experience conducting research in accessibility or a demonstrated commitment to accessibility (preferred).
• Experience with data collection or data curation, such as developing data or annotation protocols (preferred).
• Experience with human-centered evaluation methods, including developing user study protocols or running studies (preferred).
• Experience developing and shipping products that use machine learning (preferred).
