AI Software Engineer, App Intelligence

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain the on-device runtime platform that enables end-to-end Siri experiences.
• Implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code following engineering best practices.
• Shape key architecture decisions to ensure the product can scale effectively.
• Debug, profile, and optimize system performance to meet strict on-device latency, memory, and power budgets.
• Diagnose end-to-end Siri experience failures and convert them into measurable quality and reliability improvements.
• Contribute to the shared evaluation and telemetry loop to measure and prove platform improvements.
• Design and evolve interfaces between the runtime and the model, including tool-calling schemas and context construction.

What we're looking for

• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience developing and shipping production software.
• Strong proficiency in C++, Swift, or Objective-C with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Strong understanding of OS internals, concurrency, multithreading, and memory management.
• Strong familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI assistants, including fluency in agentic coding tools.
• Experience with system performance analysis and optimization techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across different technical teams.
• Proficiency with Swift and Xcode for Apple platforms (preferred).
