The AI GRC Architect will own the enterprise AI governance architecture roadmap and technical implementation for OneTrust and associated GRC platforms. This role is responsible for translating Responsible AI policies into scalable technical controls, lifecycle gates, and evidence models across various business units. The architect will design systems for risk tiering, approval workflows, and continuous monitoring while ensuring audit-ready traceability. Key responsibilities include designing resilient API integrations, managing organizational segmentation for least-privilege access, and leading cross-functional architecture reviews. Required skills include expertise in REST APIs, OAuth, Python, and JavaScript to drive automation. The role addresses the challenge of reducing governance friction while strengthening risk posture within a complex enterprise environment. Candidates must be proficient in translating regulatory requirements into technical control patterns across frameworks like SOC 2, HITRUST, NIST AI RMF, and PCI DSS.
Define the enterprise architecture for AI Governance and Cyber GRC workflows including risk, control, and evidence models.
Design the end-to-end AI governance lifecycle including intake, classification, risk tiering, and approval gates.
Translate policy and regulatory requirements into technical control patterns and reusable architecture blueprints.
Manage and govern resilient API integrations between OneTrust, Archer, and other enterprise systems.
Establish organizational segmentation and access controls to ensure least-privilege operations for governance teams.
Lead architectural decisions regarding automation, error handling, observability, and production support readiness.
Chair cross-functional architecture reviews to influence risk, compliance, and engineering decision forums.
Mentor engineers and analysts on architecture standards, implementation playbooks, and design quality.
What we're looking for
Must have 8+ years of experience in governance, risk, compliance, cybersecurity engineering, or related technical disciplines in complex enterprise environments.
Must have 5+ years in enterprise architecture or senior engineering roles delivering security, GRC, compliance, or governance platforms at scale.
Must have demonstrated experience designing enterprise AI governance or model risk lifecycle controls from policy through technical implementation.
Must possess deep integration engineering expertise including REST APIs, OAuth, reliability patterns, and production-grade operational resilience.
Must have strong software and scripting capabilities in languages such as Python or JavaScript for API-driven automation.
Must be able to translate business and regulatory requirements into control taxonomies and governed technical workflows.
Must possess strong executive and technical communication skills to align stakeholders and articulate risk tradeoffs.
Must have experience using GRC platforms to operationalize frameworks like SOC 2, HITRUST, NIST AI RMF, and PCI DSS.
Experience with OneTrust modules is preferred.
Experience leading vendor gap remediation in regulated environments is preferred.
Familiarity with Responsible AI Governance for production AI/ML use cases is preferred.
Expertise building executive-ready dashboards using Power BI or similar tools is preferred.
Experience collaborating with external implementation partners while maintaining architecture standards is preferred.
Must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
