TL;DR · Senior Principal Software Security Engineer, AI Development & Agent Ops

AI Development & Agent Ops — Senior Principal Software Security Engineer joins the AI Development & Agent Ops team to drive an agentic SDLC transformation for thousands of engineers. This role focuses on building and refining services, platforms, and practices that enable large-scale development with AI agents. Key responsibilities include managing the agent lifecycle framework, including versioning, testing, and security review readiness; developing shared services and developer tooling; and collaborating with Product Security, Legal, and Risk teams to mitigate risks like prompt injection and data exposure. The role requires expertise in LLMs, agentic systems, and platform engineering while ensuring compliance across enterprise workflows. Candidates must possess skills in threat modeling, identity and access management, and software supply chain security. The work addresses the technical challenge of integrating secure AI-assisted development into a complex infrastructure environment at scale.

What you'll do

  • Manage the agent lifecycle framework including versioning, testing, validation, and release management within the enterprise registry.
  • Build shared services, reusable frameworks, and developer tools to accelerate AI agent adoption while ensuring security compliance.
  • Integrate security requirements and controls into agentic development workflows in partnership with legal, risk, and infrastructure teams.
  • Identify and mitigate AI-specific risks such as prompt injection, data exposure, and unauthorized agent permissions.
  • Establish standards for knowledge base content, metadata, and access controls to ensure secure inputs for agentic systems.
  • Drive engineering best practices including automation, observability, and security-by-design across the agentic ecosystem.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into clear documentation and specifications for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, security engineering, or a related technical leadership role.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development, LLMs, agentic systems, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Security, Cybersecurity, Risk, Compliance, or Governance teams to deliver secure enterprise solutions.
  • Practical understanding of threat modeling, identity and access management, application security, and software supply chain security.
  • Ability to structure ambiguous problems into concrete outputs such as analyses, prototypes, specifications, or frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical complexity for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with agentic development tools like Windsurf, Codeium, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or equivalents (preferred).
  • Experience in large enterprise environments with compliance requirements and security review processes (preferred).
