As an AI & Data Decision Science Consultant - Utilities, you will join the Decision Science team to design, develop, and reinvent processes using agentic AI knowledge to drive efficiency and growth. Your daily work involves developing and customizing models for specific business problems, identifying AI use cases, determining ROI, and creating transformation roadmaps. The role requires proficiency in Python, R, or SQL, along with experience in frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn. You will also utilize cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and big data technologies like Hadoop and Spark to solve complex problems specifically within the electric, gas, or water utility sectors.

What you'll do

Develop and customize machine learning and AI models to solve specific business problems within targeted industries.
Identify high-impact AI use cases by analyzing organizational goals, developing business cases, and determining ROI.
Create transformation roadmaps and decision-making systems using advanced analytics and agentic AI technologies.
Bridge the gap between technical requirements and business needs for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Support the sales process by contributing to solutioning for data science and machine learning opportunities.
Advise clients on responsible AI governance, including training users on new processes and tracking results.
Communicate complex technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What we're looking for

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or Advanced Analytics.
Minimum of 3 years of experience building decision-based frameworks and models to drive insights.
Minimum of 1 year of experience serving utilities clients or in a utilities finance, controllership, or regulatory function.
Bachelor's degree required, or an Associate's Degree with work experience.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Knowledge of big data technologies, agent-based modeling, reinforcement learning, and autonomous systems is highly desirable.
Ability to travel up to 80% as needed based on client expectations.
