Advanced Materials and Procurement Specialist

What you'll do

• Leads procurement process and ensures suppliers meet quality, schedule, and cost requirements.
• Prepares performance reports on suppliers for management review.
• Develops yearly and quarterly plans related to material sales with Material Planning teams.
• Manages supplier risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
• Interacts with suppliers and QA to resolve quality issues efficiently.
• Supports supplier audits and evaluations, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Writes BOEs to support business area proposals and manages procurement bids.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree plus at least 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree plus at least 3 years.
• Department of Defense Secret security clearance required within a reasonable period.
• Strong understanding of IFS and General Dynamics Mission Systems business policies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, develop agendas, and manage supplier relationships.
• Experience in procurement processes, including bid development and material requests for proposals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to present technical information effectively.
• EVMS Certification may be required.
