The ACH Product Owner owns product execution for Automated Clearing House payments on the Finxact platform, managing the lifecycle from discovery through production optimization. You will manage the product backlog, define feature priorities, and develop requirements for use cases including origination, incoming processing, returns, and same-day ACH. Key responsibilities involve translating NACHA rule updates into actionable requirements, defining success metrics like straight-through processing, and partnering with API teams to define integration patterns. You will utilize skills in business analysis, product delivery, and risk management to ensure regulatory alignment with Regulation E and OFAC requirements. The role requires deep domain knowledge of ODFI and RDFI roles, SEC codes, and settlement risk to solve complex payment processing problems and improve product reliability for financial institutions.
Own the ACH product backlog, feature priorities, and release scope aligned to company goals and client needs.
Define feature-level objectives and success metrics for ACH capabilities like straight-through processing and settlement timeliness.
Develop requirements and acceptance criteria for ACH use cases including origination, returns, and same-day ACH.
Translate NACHA rule updates and regulatory changes into actionable product requirements and implementation plans.
Lead cross-functional discovery and delivery with engineering, risk, compliance, and operations teams.
Own ACH exception and decisioning experiences, including workflows for pay and return decisions.
Partner with API and platform teams to define ACH APIs and integration patterns with internal and external systems.
Validate product increments through scenario-based testing and user acceptance for edge cases.
What we're looking for
6+ years of experience in product ownership, business analysis, or product delivery within payments, banking, fintech, or core processing environments.
3+ years of hands-on experience with ACH payments, including origination, posting, exceptions, returns, NOCs, and settlement operations.
3+ years of experience managing product backlogs, writing epics, features, and user stories, and defining acceptance criteria for technology delivery teams.
3+ years of experience applying NACHA operating rules and governance expectations to ACH processing, controls, and product requirements.
Experience collaborating with compliance and risk stakeholders on ACH controls related to Regulation E, OFAC requirements, fraud, and operational risk.
Experience using operational and product metrics to prioritize enhancements, investigate defects, and improve product reliability.
Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, experience, or military service.
Must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
