What you'll do

  • Support teams designing and building aerospace structures using carbon fiber composite material systems.
  • Perform trade studies and designs based on provided problem statements and requirements.
  • Generate technical solutions for internal approval.
  • Execute the procurement of hardware necessary to implement engineering solutions.
  • Test, verify, and demonstrate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
  • Analyze data to drive manufacturing improvements.

What we're looking for

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export-controlled information or facilities.
  • Ability to complete an in-person 12-week internship in one of the company's offices during summer 2027.
  • Previous experience leading projects and working with data collection, analysis, and driving improvements (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with R/C and/or autonomous flight vehicles, flight controllers, or other related control systems (preferred).
  • Software scripting experience in any language (preferred).
