As a Manager of the Technical Services team at Shopify, you will lead the design, implementation, and support of critical internal systems that power the company’s office spaces and events. What you'll do

  • Lead the team responsible for maintaining reliable network infrastructure connecting Shopify Spaces.
  • Proactively prevent, detect, and respond to network performance issues and AV system challenges.
  • Standardize in-office and virtual collaboration experiences by defining room standards and managing lifecycle.
  • Deploy, test, and maintain AV & network infrastructure both remotely and on-site.
  • Automate workflows using tools like Ansible, NetBox, and Git/GitHub Actions for efficiency.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in people leadership and setting a high quality bar for teams.
  • Expertise in designing, operating, and troubleshooting enterprise-level networks.
  • Mastery of networking protocols including IPv4/IPv6, TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, VRFs.
  • Skilled in network automation using Ansible and infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of video streaming technologies and signal flows for AV systems.
