The Winter 2027 Technical Program Management Co-op joins the program management team to serve as a primary owner of project lifecycles from inception to completion. In this role, you will work side-by-side with customers to identify mission challenges and collaborate with engineering teams to develop technical paths, build sprint plans, and coordinate across internal departments like logistics, finance, and legal. You will be responsible for ensuring all stakeholders are informed while managing the deployment of complex hardware and software systems. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Project or equivalent tools, along with strong skills in project proposal creation, requirements verification, and documentation. This position focuses on solving critical national and international security challenges by integrating advanced technology into defense systems, specifically addressing problems within the domain of national security space systems.
Lead projects from start to finish by defining technical paths and validating outcomes with customers.
Work directly with customers to understand mission challenges and inform the product development process.
Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, logistics, finance, and legal to build complex hardware and software solutions.
Develop and communicate sprint plans, execution plans, and milestones for both internal and external partners.
Identify and manage project requirements while ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
Meet commercial targets by building trust-based partnerships and identifying future growth opportunities for the company.
Create project proposals, program plans, reports, and process documentation to support business goals.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Must be returning to school at the end of the internship for at least one quarter or semester.
Must be a U.S. Person due to export-controlled information requirements and potential security clearance eligibility.
Ability to complete an in-person 16 to 24-week internship during winter 2027.
Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams to successful completion of projects (preferred).
Experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent project management software (preferred).
Strong understanding of space systems engineering, environmental considerations, and requirements verification and validation (preferred).
Experience with the deployment and integration of sophisticated hardware and software systems for national security space systems (preferred).
