The Wi-Fi Quality Engineering CI team is seeking a mid level quality engineer for the Wi-Fi Tools and Automation Engineer, Wireless Technologies & Ecosystems role. You will develop and operate a large-scale test automation lab for multiple products, writing automation for new and existing features to validate Wi-Fi. Your daily work involves debugging hardware and software failures, executing test cycles, and creating micro-services and pipelines to support continuous integration. You will utilize Swift, SwiftUI, Objective C, and Python to automate unit, API, and UI testing. A core focus is applying AI/ML techniques, including LLM-based test generation and agentic debugging assistants, to improve test coverage, failure triage, and log analysis. This role solves the technical challenge of ensuring high-quality Wi-Fi user experiences across every class of device.

What you'll do

Develop and operate a large-scale test automation lab for multiple Apple products.
Write automation for new and existing features to validate Wi-Fi functionality.
Debug and troubleshoot device hardware and software failures during testing cycles.
Create micro-services, tools, and pipelines to support continuous integration efforts.
Apply AI/ML techniques to improve test coverage, failure triage, and root-cause identification.
Build and integrate AI-assisted automation tools like LLM-based test generation and agentic debugging assistants.
Prototype emerging AI tooling to streamline lab operations and reduce manual triage effort.
Drive testability efforts with engineering teams to improve software and hardware testing methods.

What we're looking for

3+ years of experience working in Software QA Automation Engineering.
Experience in one or more scripting/programming languages including Swift/SwiftUI, Objective C, or Python.
Experience automating tests at Unit, API, UI, and non-UI levels.
Experience with Continuous Integration systems.
Experience with AI and problem solving.
BS in computer science or equivalent experience.
Familiarity with applying AI/ML techniques to test automation, triage, or analytics (preferred).
Experience integrating AI-assisted developer tools into engineering pipelines (preferred).
