Vulnerability Defense Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and scale distributed tools that translate security tradecraft into evidence-based systems and workflows.
• Build high-performance applications to help security practitioners assess risk and investigate complex systems.
• Partner with security experts to identify bottlenecks and automate manual investigation processes.
• Improve system architecture to ensure the stability and performance of internal and customer-facing services.
• Translate complex security requirements into robust, scalable software solutions.
• Communicate and prioritize technical concepts across different engineering teams.
• Mentor other developers to promote best practices for writing well-tested, modular, and reusable code.

What we're looking for

• At least 5 years of experience building large-scale software applications is required (preferably distributed systems).
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services is required.
• Knowledge of SQL and common relational database systems such as PostgreSQL is required.
• Prior experience writing production-ready code in Go and/or TypeScript is preferred.
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, incident response workflows, and vulnerability research is preferred.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and designing agentic AI workflows is preferred.
• Expertise in application security, security research, or deep understanding of DNS, TLS/SSL, and HTTP is a bonus.
• Export control laws, including the U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
