Technical Security Application Engineer, Secured Spaces

What you'll do

• Lead the technical design of IDS and ACS for new construction and renovation projects per ICD-705 standards.
• Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and gap analyses to produce sensor coverage drawings and submittal packages.
• Author and maintain technical standards, drawing details, and bills of material for security hardware installations.
• Manage the lifecycle of approved hardware platforms including Lenel OnGuard, Genetec, DMP, and Bosch systems.
• Coordinate with government officials during commissioning and serve as the primary technical point of contact during inspections.
• Manage the transition from integrators to operations teams by providing as-built documentation and credential handovers.
• Execute semi-annual IDS testing programs including evidence collection, deficiency tracking, and record retention.
• Investigate all false alarms at the partition level to identify and resolve root causes.

What we're looking for

• Must have at least 5 years of progressive security experience in a multi-national corporation or Federal entity.
• Must possess an active SECRET clearance.
• Must be fluent in the technical requirements of ICD-705 / IC Tech Spec v1.5.1 Chapters 7 and 8.
• Must have experience commissioning secured space security systems through final acceptance testing under an Accrediting Official.
• Ability to develop and enforce technical security policies and procedures for classified environments.
• Proficiency in managing hardware platforms such as Lenel OnGuard, Genetec, DMP, or Bosch.
• Preferred: 7+ years of experience specifically in technical security systems with a focus on access control and intrusion detection.
• Preferred: Professional certifications such as PSP (Physical Security Professional) or CPP (Certified Protection Professional).
