As a CVT Solution Test Technical Leader at Cisco, you will join the high-end Web and Service Provider team to ensure the successful deployment of networking solutions for critical customers by designing and automating test cases based on IOS-XR across various platforms. Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing innovative test frameworks and web-based GUIs that leverage analytics and machine learning, driving both manual and automated test cases, managing defects, and generating technical reports. You will work closely with global development teams to align testing strategies and improve overall test coverage and automation. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in L2/L3 networking protocols such as BGP, MPLS, and IGP, along with a background in network automation tools like pyATS, Ansible, Jenkins, and Cisco NSO, and expertise in UNIX/Linux environments and scripting languages. This role requires deep knowledge of RDMA technologies, OpenFlow, Netconf, REST API, and familiarity with platforms such as ASR9K and NCS series routers.

What you'll do

  • Design and automate customer use case scenarios based on IOS-XR for various platforms.
  • Develop innovative test frameworks to support efficient test execution environments.
  • Drive both manual and automated test cases while managing defects and fixes.
  • Reproduce customer issues in internal labs and generate detailed technical reports.
  • Seek continuous improvements in test coverage, execution speed, and automation levels.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years or Master’s with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience testing and configuring L2/L3 networking protocols (BGP, MPLS, IGP).
  • Proficiency in networking automation or software quality assurance.
  • CCIE certification preferred (Routing & Switching / Service Provider / Data Center).
  • Expertise in network automation tools like pyATS, Ansible, Jenkins, Robot framework.
