JOB TITLE: System Architect
The System Architect joins the development team to design and build end-to-end solutions within data platforms aimed at modernizing and automating government business processes. Working in an Agile environment, the architect analyzes stakeholder requirements to develop and configure software applications while ensuring solutions account for the operating environment and future enhancements. Key responsibilities include identifying system improvements, selecting appropriate platforms and cloud services, and managing software integration. Required technical skills include experience with API platforms, business rules, client scripts, SOAP and REST web services, and configuration management database administration. Candidates should also possess knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, SQL, NoSQL databases, UML, ERD, and Flow Diagrams. This role solves complex technical problems to improve national security through automated process modernization.
Develop and configure software applications and solutions to meet system stakeholder requirements.
Analyze business needs and technical environments to ensure solutions support future functionality and enhancements.
Select appropriate technologies, platforms, programming languages, and cloud services based on requirements.
Design end-to-end solutions to modernize and automate government business processes.
Manage software integration, API platforms, business rules, and client scripts.
Administer the configuration management database (CMDB).
Implement solutions within a DevOps pipeline using Agile Scrum development methods.
What we're looking for
TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
5+ years of experience with architecture development, including software integration, API platforms, business rules, client scripts, custom apps, or development methods.
Experience with configuration management database (CMDB) administration.
Experience collaborating with senior-level stakeholders, IT teams, and end-users to comprehend business needs and technical constraints.
Experience selecting appropriate technologies, platforms, programming languages, and cloud services based on business and technical requirements.
Knowledge of SOAP and REST web services.
Experience with Object Oriented Programming, SQL, and NoSQL databases (preferred).
