As a Support Solutions Engineer at the Engineering Support Organization, you will join a team dedicated to providing exceptional support to Netflix’s developer community by handling customer requests, troubleshooting complex issues, and automating support processes. Your day-to-day responsibilities include developing comprehensive documentation, improving support tools, and advocating for customer needs across Infrastructure Engineering. Ideal candidates have experience in customer-facing engineering roles, with expertise in cloud networking, AWS VPC concepts, DNS fundamentals, and load balancing. You should be proficient in automation tooling, infrastructure-as-code practices, and data-driven decision-making, capable of enhancing documentation and explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences. This role requires a deep understanding of network access control and security products, as well as the ability to manage end-to-end investigations in fast-paced environments.
Monitor and handle customer requests for cloud networking support.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity issues in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
Develop and maintain comprehensive self-service documentation and runbooks.
Enhance and automate support tools to improve the engineering support experience.
Provide feedback on product offerings based on customer interactions and needs.
Advocate for customer sentiment and champion improvements across Infrastructure Engineering.
Collaborate with Product Management, Developer Education, and Engineering teams.
What we're looking for
Proven ability to deliver superior customer support in complex organizations.
Deep understanding of network access control in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
Proficiency in DNS fundamentals and hands-on experience with Route53 or similar platforms.
Working knowledge of AWS VPC concepts, including IPv6 and IPv4 differences.
Familiarity with load balancing concepts and troubleshooting distributed systems.
Ability to use monitoring tools and large datasets for issue investigation and communication.
Eager to continuously improve operational efficiency through automation and visualization.
