What you'll do

Develop mathematical models for various sensor types, capturing noise, latency, calibration, and field of view.
Create detailed camera models including optics, image signal processing pipelines, distortion, resolution, and dynamic range.
Integrate component models into comprehensive system-level simulations to represent interactions accurately.
Design experiments to gather real-world data for model parameter identification, calibration, and validation.
Conduct trade-off studies using models to optimize system architecture based on performance, cost, power consumption metrics.

What we're looking for

9+ years of experience in system modeling, simulation, and analysis for electro-mechanical systems.
Expertise in developing models for sensors (IMUs, Lidars, Radars) and cameras with detailed characteristics.
Strong theoretical background in control systems, dynamics, signal processing, and numerical methods.
Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python (SciPy, NumPy, Pandas), or C/C++ for modeling and simulation.
Experience validating models against experimental data using statistical analysis techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to apply first principles to complex engineering challenges.
