We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team focused on satellite mission planning. You will lead the design of complex features, support requirements analysis, and participate in Agile development activities such as sprint planning and retrospectives. Additionally, you will mentor junior engineers and work closely with systems engineers and customers to translate mission needs into software solutions. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in satellite mission planning and a strong background in C#, Java, or similar languages, along with knowledge of orbital mechanics and DevSecOps practices. This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph eligibility and U.S. citizenship.

  • Design, develop, and test mission planning software solutions for satellite missions.
  • Serve as a technical expert on mission planning concepts, algorithms, and operational workflows.
  • Lead the implementation of complex mission planning features aligned with system architecture.
  • Mentor engineers in mission planning domain knowledge and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate mission needs into software capabilities.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Physics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in satellite mission planning and spacecraft operations.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing mission planning algorithms and software systems.
  • Experience as a technical lead in Agile development teams.
  • Proficiency in C#, Java, or similar object-oriented programming languages.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with favorable polygraph or willingness to undergo one.
