What you'll do

Translate business and user needs into reliable, low-latency technical solutions through cross-functional collaboration.
Own the full software lifecycle from technical design and API contracts to deployment and observability.
Design, build, and evaluate A/B experiments using data tools to inform engineering decisions.
Build and maintain scalable APIs using GraphQL, REST, or gRPC for mobile and web applications.
Develop and operate distributed backend services in high-concurrency environments.
Manage high-throughput caching layers and distributed datastores like Redis, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL.
Establish engineering best practices and improve developer workflows using modern tools.

What we're looking for

7+ years of hands-on backend development experience building and operating large-scale distributed serving systems in high-concurrency environments.
Proficiency in modern backend languages such as Go or Python (or Java, Kotlin, Rust, C++).
Expertise in designing and maintaining scalable APIs using GraphQL, REST, or gRPC for mobile and web applications.
Experience with high-throughput caching layers and distributed datastores like Redis, Cassandra, or PostgreSQL.
Ability to partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into low-latency technical solutions.
Experience designing, building, and evaluating A/B experiments using tools like BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase.
Strong communication skills for driving alignment in remote or hybrid team environments.
Interest in using AI-assisted engineering tools to accelerate development workflows (preferred).
