Staff Software Engineer, Autonomous Verification Platform

What you'll do

• Build systems to measure backend test quality using fault detection, mutation analysis, and historical bug replays.
• Design signals to identify which tests are meaningful, reliable, and actionable for engineers and AI agents.
• Develop verification systems for AI-generated code, including independent test generation and behavioral validation.
• Define evaluation frameworks for AI agents using golden datasets and regression tracking across models.
• Measure and monitor verification health metrics such as defect catch rates and test flakiness.
• Reduce test flakiness and ensure failure reports provide clear instructions on how to fix issues.
• Write design documents and set technical standards to shape the team's long-term verification vision.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of full-time software engineering experience.
• Strong experience building and operating backend distributed systems.
• Solid knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and system design.
• Demonstrated ability to set technical direction on ambiguous, high-impact problems.
• Track record of delivering technical work across teams.
• Experience with test infrastructure, CI systems, or developer productivity at scale (preferred).
• Proficiency in Go or Java (preferred).
