As a Staff Site Reliability Engineer on the Platform SRE team, you will lead AI enablement across our engineering organization by designing and developing custom tools and frameworks to ensure reliable and secure AI-generated output. Your day-to-day involves defining and driving strategies for embedding AI-native practices into software development, evaluating third-party platforms, and building production-grade automation using Go or Python. You’ll also partner with teams to automate workflows, measure the impact of AI tooling on productivity, and mentor engineers while participating in low-volume on-call rotations. This role requires hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, as well as expertise in prompt engineering and observability practices. You’ll play a key role in shaping best practices for leveraging AI to enhance engineering output across our large-scale production environments.
Define and own AI-assisted development standards across engineering.
Evaluate and build custom AI tools to enhance code quality and security.
Partner with teams to drive adoption of AI tools and practices.
Establish metrics to measure the impact of AI tooling on productivity.
Contribute to AWS and Terraform infrastructure design during rotations.
Mentor engineers and shape best practices for AI enablement.
What we're looking for
8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Software Development.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and building AI/LLM-powered developer tools.
Proficiency in Go or Python for production-grade automation, tooling, or libraries.
Strong experience with AWS, Terraform, and container orchestration platforms like ECS or Kubernetes.
Ability to drive org-wide tooling adoption, including change management, training, and measuring outcomes.
Solid understanding of observability practices and exceptional communication and presentation skills.
