As a Senior Software Engineer on the AI Platform & Agents team in Austin, TX, you will lead the development of core infrastructure and SDKs that enable seamless integration of large language models (LLMs) into production-grade applications. Your responsibilities include designing robust data pipelines for RAG systems, collaborating with scientists to translate research into scalable services, and ensuring operational excellence through comprehensive testing and documentation. You will work in Python or Go, leveraging SQL and database management skills, while also building RAG pipelines and managing vector databases. The role requires expertise in cloud-native principles, observability tools like DataDog and Jaeger, and proficiency with Docker and Git. This position is integral to automating complex workflows and delivering AI-driven products at scale within a dynamic engineering environment.
Build and maintain core infrastructure for internal AI platform.
Translate experimental models into scalable, production-grade AI services.
Design robust data pipelines feeding RAG systems for real-time data retrieval.
Facilitate technical onboarding of other engineering teams onto the AI platform.
Develop comprehensive test cases to ensure reliable outcomes in AI workflows.
Collaborate with SREs to deliver AI applications efficiently and reliably.
What we're looking for
5+ years of hands-on software development experience in Python and/or Go.
Expertise in building RAG pipelines, managing vector databases, and orchestrating multi-agent systems.
Deep understanding of cloud-native principles including horizontal scaling and security best practices.
Proficiency in container-based development with Docker and Git for source control.
Experience monitoring AI performance using tools like Sentry, DataDog, or Jaeger.
Hands-on experience with SQL and database management.
Proven ability to communicate technical requirements across various engineering domains.
