This role solves the challenge of transforming advanced algorithms into dependable capabilities for industrial, commercial, and consumer products within a high-performance computing environment.

What you'll do

  • Architect and implement modular software integrating sensors, state estimation, planning, control, and actuators.
  • Define stable interfaces and system boundaries across the autonomy stack, middleware, and hardware accelerators.
  • Build APIs, SDKs, and reusable components to simplify robotics development and deployment.
  • Develop tools for simulation, on-target testing, calibration, logging, and over-the-air updates.
  • Create observability and diagnostic tools to monitor timing, resource usage, and faults across distributed components.
  • Optimize end-to-end latency, determinism, memory usage, and throughput on heterogeneous processors.
  • Design systems that maintain reliability during sensor degradation, communication faults, and resource contention.
  • Establish testing and validation practices to ensure safe and robust robotic behavior in production environments.

What we're looking for

  • 6+ years of experience designing and building robotics, autonomous systems, or embedded software for real-world environments.
  • 3+ years of experience leading architecture or integration work across multiple parts of a robotics stack.
  • Proficiency in modern C++ and Python with strong software design, debugging, and code-quality practices.
  • Strong understanding of robotics middleware (ROS 2), coordinate frames, timing, synchronization, and sensor/actuator interfaces.
  • Knowledge of Linux-based real-time systems, concurrency, IPC, and distributed component lifecycles.
  • Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, numerical methods, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with navigation, motion planning, or autonomous mobile robots (preferred).
  • Experience with simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and heterogeneous computing across CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, or DSPs (preferred).
