What you'll do

Design and implement state-of-the-art AI/ML models to power recommendations, search, and advanced features for news, books, and stocks.
Develop high-quality datasets and design model architectures for production use.
Prompt, train, and fine-tune machine learning models to solve complex data problems.
Execute the full product lifecycle from initial concept and model design through to final delivery.
Lead large-scale, cross-functional software projects involving multiple technical and non-technical teams.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the internal machine learning community.

What we're looking for

MS or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field is required, or equivalent industry experience.
At least 5 years of experience shipping machine learning models in products.
Proficiency in Python, Java, or a similar programming language.
Experience with deep learning toolkits such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Experience designing user-facing machine learning features with interdisciplinary partners.
Experience with recommender systems and text-centric AI/ML including LLMs and document classification.
Experience delivering high-quality software at scale.
Experience in a technical leadership role is preferred.
