The Architecture & Facilities Engineering team at Disneyland Resort is seeking a Staff Civil Engineer to support the development and sustainment of various assets across the resort. This role involves managing projects from inception through construction, focusing on underground utilities, drainage systems, grading, soil evaluations, and foundational structures. Key responsibilities include developing bid-level construction documents, authoring RFPs, and collaborating with architects and other engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of civil engineering experience, proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D), Revit, and Adobe Acrobat, and a strong understanding of California’s standards and codes. Experience with Esri ArcGIS is preferred. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects ranging from minor renovations to new facility developments, ensuring constructability and long-term maintainability across various built environments at Disneyland Resort.

What you'll do
Manage project inception, design development, and implementation of underground utilities and drainage systems.
Develop bid-level construction documents including drawings and specifications for various projects.
Resolve design issues creatively by coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
Review and ensure all projects comply with applicable codes and statutes during site visits.
Lead the preparation of water quality management plans and stormwater pollution prevention plans.
Independently review new and existing design drawings, calculations, and shop drawing submittals.
Coordinate design activities to monitor field installations and demolition work compliance.
What we're looking for
10+ years of civil engineering experience in design and construction.
Expertise in site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater management.
Proficient with AutoCAD (Civil 3D), Revit, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu.
Strong communication skills for client interaction and project documentation.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license in California required.
BS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
