Sr. Teamcenter PLM Solutions Engineer
The Sr. Teamcenter PLM Solutions Engineer joins the Product Development PLM IT Organization to serve as the primary liaison between engineering business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. This role is critical in a major transformation to consolidate legacy systems into Siemens Teamcenter. You will conduct workshops to translate complex business requirements into scalable product structures, vehicle engineering bills of material, and part management solutions. Responsibilities include designing end-to-end solutions for multi-level Product BOMs, defining functional blueprints, mapping business objects in the BMIDE environment, and managing project backlogs through production transition. You will utilize Siemens Teamcenter to manage variant-rich configurations and automotive product lifecycles. Required expertise includes technical proficiency in installing, patching, and configuring multi-tier Teamcenter environments while navigating complex vehicle program lifecycles, component tracking, and large-scale enterprise transformations to ensure accurate data governance and seamless manufacturing readiness.
Conduct workshops with stakeholders to translate complex data structures and engineering change cycles into technical specifications.
Design end-to-end solutions for multi-level Product BOMs, variant configurations, and effectivity controls.
Map business objects, attributes, and relationships for the technical team using the BMIDE environment.
Provide functional requirements, structural wireframes, and business logic to guide custom software development.
Architect engineering change management workflows to ensure compliance with business rules.
Develop business process models, user stories, and product backlogs from project inception through production.
Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that technical deployments meet original business requirements.
Create comprehensive training plans and execution strategies to ensure smooth transitions for end-users.
What we're looking for
5-7 years of experience in an applicable business environment focusing on Siemens Teamcenter PLM solutions architecture, deployment, and configuration.
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Technical literacy in installing, patching, tuning, and configuring multi-tier Teamcenter environments.
Thorough understanding of vehicle program lifecycles, component tracking, and variant-rich configuration management.
Robust understanding of automotive product lifecycles and large-scale Teamcenter enterprise transformations.
Experience with large-scale PLM migrations, legacy data strategies, system decommissioning, and global user rollouts (preferred).
Demonstrated ability to lead high-visibility meetings and facilitate sessions with end-users to extract requirements (preferred).
Ability to synthesize complex technical Teamcenter dependencies for executive review with little to no direction (preferred).
