Sr Staff Machine Learning Engineer, ML Platform

What you'll do

• Design and develop model training and fine-tuning infrastructure at scale.
• Build high-performing, elegant machine learning systems from the ground up.
• Select appropriate technologies to solve complex challenges efficiently.
• Define and refine architectures to meet unique ad network challenges.
• Develop ML products that adhere to Apple's privacy commitments.
• Collaborate on building AI/ML tooling for model fine-tuning and training.

What we're looking for

• Experience building shared ML platforms used by multiple teams.
• Deep understanding of the ML lifecycle, including training pipelines and deployment patterns.
• Expertise in deep learning architectures (Transformers, LLMs) and training frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Prior experience applying ML at scale in Ads or recommender systems domains.
• Experience with distributed training at scale and optimization techniques like model pruning and quantization.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical multi-functional teams.
• Results-oriented with strong technical leadership skills for fast-paced collaborative environments.
