What you'll do

  • Design and implement automated testing for hardware in the loop (HITL) and hardware out of the loop (HOOTL) software.
  • Develop full-stack solutions to manage automated testing of vehicle subsystems using simulation and flight software.
  • Build and maintain test automation and CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Own the development of new features within a high-performance application used to control and test flight systems.
  • Perform debugging, performance optimization, and data throughput analysis for critical flight systems.
  • Develop in-house solutions for the analysis, simulation, and prototyping of software across all SpaceX flight systems.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, math, or an engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development using languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
  • 3+ years of experience with automated testing of hardware in the loop (HITL) or hardware out of the loop (HOOTL) software.
  • 3+ years of experience with test automation and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or eligible for required export control authorizations.
