Sr. Site Reliability Engineer - Top Secret Clearance (Starlink)
As a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer on the Starlink program, you will join a team of engineers focused on maximizing the utility of satellite internet hardware to provide reliable broadband access. You will take full ownership of complex problems, collaborating across programs to design and produce scalable, maintainable products throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Your daily responsibilities include upgrading distributed systems to be sharded and geo-redundant, managing petabyte-scale bare metal compute clusters, and improving deployment, monitoring, and alerting infrastructure for multi-region environments. You will also focus on identifying performance bottlenecks and implementing improvement techniques. What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline and 5 years of software development experience; OR 7+ years of professional experience building software with site reliability or DevOps.
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Active Top Secret or Top-Secret SCI clearance.
Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee (or eligible for such status).
5+ years of rigorous experience with site reliability or DevOps (preferred).
Experience with Kubernetes and Istio for on-premise deployment (preferred).
Experience with in-stream, data processing, and analytics using platforms like Apache Kafka, Spark, HBase, HDFS, or Flink (preferred).
