What you'll do

  • Apply software engineering and automation principles to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of production services.
  • Use data and rigorous analysis to identify systemic risks and guide technical decisions for infrastructure and code.
  • Define and implement service-health measures including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Enhance observability through metrics, logging, tracing, monitoring, alerting, and dashboard instrumentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement across CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and automated testing practices.
  • Translate operational experience into improvements in architecture, tooling, and engineering practices to reduce manual toil.
  • Lead incident response, troubleshooting, service restoration, and conduct blameless post-incident learning.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation while improving its effectiveness through automation and runbooks.

What we're looking for

  • Candidates must possess eligibility to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire.
  • Typically 5–8 years of professional experience in SRE, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud/Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
  • Experience with software development or scripting using one or more modern programming languages.
  • Experience with software engineering principles, distributed systems, production troubleshooting, automation, and observability.
  • Experience with public cloud technologies and architectures, preferably AWS (preferred).
  • Experience developing, deploying, operating, or improving highly available production software or distributed systems (preferred).
  • Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containers, orchestration, and other service-delivery automation (preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
