We are seeking a Senior QA Analyst to join our Data Management, Engineering & Architecture team at Warner Bros., focusing on the Enterprise Data Lake platform. This role involves developing and implementing robust QA methodologies and documentation while working closely with data architects and analytics teams to ensure seamless integration of data assets. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating test plans, scripts, and results, performing various types of testing such as functional, system, and performance, and collaborating with product managers during UAT phases. Ideal candidates should have extensive experience in database QA engineering, proficiency in cloud platforms like AWS and Snowflake, and expertise in SQL, Python, Unix shell scripting, and automation tools. The role requires a deep understanding of data management requirements and the ability to work on complex technical challenges within an Agile environment.
Develop and implement QA methodologies, processes, and documentation for data management projects.
Perform comprehensive testing including system, functional, integration, and performance tests.
Work closely with data architects and analytics teams to understand and meet business requirements.
Contribute to project planning by estimating QA tasks and deliverables accurately.
Automate and streamline testing processes using SQL, Python, Unix shell scripting, and Windows BAT.
What we're looking for
Minimum 8 years of experience as a database QA Engineer in Data Warehousing environments.
BS/MS in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience required.
Expertise in testing methodologies including functional, system, integration, and performance testing.
Proficiency with cloud-based tools such as Snowflake and AWS.
Experience automating processes using SQL, Python, Unix shell scripting, and Windows BAT scripts.
Ability to develop technical documentation and project plans for complex projects.
Strong communication skills and experience working in an Agile environment.
