Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Siri Speech

What you'll do

• Develop and build multilingual, multimodal LLMs to improve global speech and conversational experiences.
• Advance state-of-the-art research in natural language processing, speech modeling, and audio modeling.
• Design and build robust speech-centric LLM systems for next-generation conversational assistant features.
• Implement end-to-end solutions ranging from data scaling to model training and deployment.
• Develop and deploy novel deep learning technologies to make Siri more intelligent and natural.
• Translate research into production-ready products by collaborating with engineering and design teams.
• Monitor emerging AI trends to define the future direction of Siri's capabilities.

What we're looking for

• Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5 to 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning.
• Experience developing, training, and tuning large generative models or LLMs.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as JAX and/or PyTorch.
• Experience with reinforcement learning.
• Experience with Speech LLMs, other Multimodal LLMs, or building and deploying AI agents.
• Experience with large-scale machine learning training, evaluation, and scaling foundation models.
