Senior Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and maintain scalable data architecture, pipelines, and modeling strategies on AWS.
• Build and manage data models and schemas in Redshift to enable self-service analytics.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data jobs to ensure high availability and performance.
• Implement data quality checks, validation rules, and alerting mechanisms to ensure data integrity.
• Use AWS services like Glue, Lambda, S3, Athena, and EMR to build modular data solutions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize use cases and deliver reliable datasets.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and version-controlled workflows using Git and dbt.
• Promote reusable patterns and automation to ensure long-term scalability of data assets.

What we're looking for

• Must have a legal right to work in the United States.
• 6+ years of experience in software/data engineering building robust data systems.
• Expertise in designing and implementing enterprise data warehouses using star schemas and dimensional modeling.
• Expert level SQL skills for complex queries and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data ecosystem including Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena, EMR, EC2, DynamoDB, Lambda, and Redis.
• Experience with dbt Labs and modern ELT/analytics engineering practices.
• Knowledge of data governance, quality assurance, and observability tools.
• Python proficiency is a strong plus (preferred).
