As a Senior Controls Engineer with the Ride Control Team, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing control systems for complex automated industrial laundry applications to enhance guest experiences across multiple facilities. Your responsibilities include designing electrical and automated interfaces for high-volume washing, drying, sorting, and folding systems, as well as developing software architecture and coding for embedded systems using Rockwell and Siemens PLCs. You will also create safety analysis documents and test plans while working closely with a team of engineers to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software solutions. Proficiency in PLC programming, C/C++, and industrial network protocols such as AS-I, INTERBUS, ControlNet, Profinet, and Ethernet IP is essential, along with experience in AC and DC drive programming and safety-related control systems. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science and at least five years of relevant experience in industrial automation and controls.

What you'll do

What we're looking for
5+ years of experience in industrial automation and controls.
Proficient in PLC programming and C/C++ with expertise in software development planning and documentation.
Experience designing control systems hardware to UL 508a standards, including motor control cabinets and field sensors.
Expertise in AC/DC drive programming, safety-related control systems, and software testing.
Knowledge of industrial network protocols such as AS-I, INTERBUS, ControlNet, Profinet, CIP, and Ethernet IP.
