What you'll do

  • Incubate state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for Apple's products.
  • Own full lifecycle of ML models from distributed training to efficient inference.
  • Design data pipelines in collaboration with collection and evaluation teams.
  • Communicate latest image generation research to influence long-term product roadmap.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate experimental models into new products.

What we're looking for

  • MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, with 5+ years industry experience in computational photography and machine learning.
  • Deep expertise in machine learning and deep learning techniques, including multimodal LLMs, Mixture of Experts, PEFT, RLHF.
  • Proven track record delivering customer-facing products with computer vision, computational photography or generative AI features.
  • Hands-on experience building, evaluating, deploying large-scale vision LLMs or instruction-following image editing models.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and deep learning toolkits like PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills across diverse technical and non-technical teams.
