The role requires proficiency in modern C++, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and DevSecOps practices. This position solves technical challenges by integrating software with tactical, combat, weapon-control, or other mission-critical systems within a laboratory and Navy platform environment.

What you'll do

Lead the architecture, design, development, and integration of complex software systems.

Define unit, component, integration, and system-level test strategies.
Lead code and design reviews while promoting secure coding and engineering best practices.
Support software integration and issue resolution in laboratory and Navy platform environments.

What we're looking for

U.S. citizenship is required.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or a related STEM field, plus 8 years of relevant experience.
Master's degree, plus 6 years of relevant experience.
Must have C++ experience.
Demonstrated experience serving as a technical lead for a complex software product or integration effort (preferred).
Strong Linux experience, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or a derivative (preferred).
Practical experience with gRPC, Protocol Buffers, networking, and asynchronous or multithreaded software (preferred).
